| About the Evangelism Board: PURPOSE: The purpose of the Board of Evangelism is to share the Gospel of Christ both inside and outside of the congregation, provide for the training and equipping of lay evangelists, encourage positive witnessing of all members in all aspects of their lives, and coordinate with other Boards in the integration of new members into the Body of Christ. MISSION: "It is the mission of First Lutheran Church to make disciples of all nations through people-friendly, Christ-centered outreach." All member evangelism training, active evangelism ministry, calling on both inactives and visitors, more community visibility, pastoral focus on training lay people for ministry, and transportation for those who need it are desired elements needed to accomplish our mission. |
